Here’s one of those “Thank God for YouTube” moments—Frank Zappa with John and Yoko

Speaking of Frank, here’s some of the rarest of rare videos from the Fillmore in ’71 during the “Comedy Band” tour.  John and Yoko walked onstage and joined—yes, folks—the Mothers.  Lennon respected Zappa’s music though he might’ve thought of it as a bit art-schoolish sometimes as opposed to his own roots sensibilities.  After the event, FZ and Lennon agreed to separately control how that music would appear, but Zappa was less than happy with Lennon’s post-editing.  Playground Psychotics is Zappa’s response.
