Thirty-Nine Thousand Estates

Chris van Hollen (D-MD) just said something on MSNBC that you need to know. How many estates are we talking about re: the estate tax they’re fighting over in Congress? 39,000. That’s all, folks. Thirty-nine thousand wealthy people. That’s it. They want to be able to keep all—all—of that extraordinary wealth. Thirty-nine thousand against everybody else. And their side’s winning?

One question: Why? More to come.
